The beach can be accessed from Section II through a path that goes down to the sand, Section II and III are connected so you don't have to go through the gate to go to Section II. All sections have 24-hour security.

Puerta del Mar is along the free road from Tijuana to Ensenada, about 5 minutes south of Primo Tapia, where there are many grocery stores and a gas station and about 15 minutes south of Rosarito.

About a mile from Puerta del Mar there is access to the scenic road that can take you to the international border between San Diego and Tijuana in about 40 minutes.

There are also many restaurants within a few miles of Puerta del Mar including Sunday brunch buffets, fine dining, live music, and more.

The wine region, the Guadalupe Valley is about 30 to 45 minutes away depending on the route you take. If you like golfing, BajaMar has a great golf course just about 15 minutes south.
