Baja Open House Office at K38: Beba Cabello (Broker Associate): Mario Restrepo (Broker): Location: The Baja Open House office is located 40 minutes south of the border, 15 minutes south of Rosarito, 2 miles south of Calafia, 200 yards south of the Las Rocas Hotel and the Jesus Statue, 500 yards north of Club Marena, along the free road, at K38 (Kilometer 38), the well-known surf break, next door to the K38 Surf Shop, along side other small stores and restaurants. The Baja Open House office has a large red sign with white letters located over the front door and is visible from the free road if you drive slow. Directions to Baja Open House office, at K38, Baja From Interstate 805 or 5 in San Diego, cross the border into Mexico at the San Ysidro border crossing. When you get into Mexico get your car near the middle of all the lanes to avoid being forced right off the first ramp, which is about 300 yards away from the border. You are looking to continue straight which will take you up onto a highway bridge/overpass. This bridge/overpass is about 600 yards away from the border. Once you are on the bridge, get yourself over to the right even though cars maybe veering into you. It is better to slow down then speed up here as the exit ramp comes up quickly. Still on the bridge, take the ramp on the right hand side that is marked Rosarito, Ensenada. 5 minutes later, drive up a steep hill along side the border fence/wall. Watch for obvious signs and follow them. 5 minutes later you will drop down a hill as the road turns south and inland away from the border fence/wall. At the bottom of this hill is a turn-off to your right that you must take. It should be well signed. You will drive up a hill and come to a turn off for Playas de Tijuana. Veer to the left lane so you don't go to Playas de Tijuana. By doing so you will enter the toll road heading south and you will come to a toll both in which you will pay about $2.50 USD. There is no need to drive into the town of Rosarito to get south of Rosarito. Simply stay on the toll road and you will go past Rosarito on it's east side. Near the south side of Rosarito, take the exit marked La Paloma, La Rocas, Calafia, Popotla, and continue on the free road. Drive South about 10 minutes taking you past Fox Studios, and then passed Calafia. Once you will see the huge Jesus Statue. The Las Rocas Hotel is in front of the Huge Jesus Statue. The Baja Open House office is located along the free road, about 200 yards south of the Las Rocas Hotel. Our sign is red with white letters, and we are right next door to the K38 Surf Shop. |
