The Baja Open House Mission Statement is
“to provide safety and knowledge to the Baja real estate transaction, to protect the financial position and goals of the seller and buyer, in that the transaction price, selling terms, and escrow terms are fair, marketable, and executed.”

Baja Open House is a boutique real estate brokerage here in Baja, Mexico, located just 500 yards north of Club Marena, and about 45 minutes south of the border with San Diego.
Baja Open House focuses in real estate sales, but also has a strong rental and property management program to assist in meeting the goals of investor clients.
The Baja Open House website existed before the Baja Open House office and company. The website was used by Mario Restrepo when he started working at the Prudential real estate office in Baja. Prudential at the time was marketed as Prubaja, and was located just south of Las Gaviotas, next door to the Baja Public Storage, about 15 minutes south of Rosarito along the free road.
This Prudential office was opened as the real estate market started to fall, so with nearly 30 Prudential real estate offices closing in southern California alone, the closing of the office in Baja was inevitable.
Some of the agents who worked at Prudential in Baja were Beba Cabello, Laura Miller, and Mario Restepo, who were still committed to working with their clients, but no longer had an office or brokerage to call home. However, there still was plenty of property that needed to be sold and there was still interest in owning Baja real estate.
By early February, 2009, Mario Restrepo and Beba Cabello had contracted for an office location. The site at K38, in between Club Marena and Calafia, and 2 miles north of Las Gaviotas, was a fit as there was plenty of inventory in the general area.
In early March 2009, the market was at an all time low, and there was much speculation that the market was going to continue to adjust down in both prices and days on the market. But with much valiant effort and despite Baja Open House being the youngest brokerage in the area, Baja Open House had closed more transactions then 90% of the agents and brokers in the immediate area.
The agents that make up Baja Open House are Beba Cabello who is a broker-associate, Laura Miller, Summer Hayes, and Mario Restrepo, broker, and Juan Manuel Lara, as office manager. In addition we have a web master, professional photographer, staff writer, and personal on hand for maintaining and improving property, such as plumbers, electricians, handyman, movers, cleaning personal, internet connection specialists, and satellite TV installers.
Despite recent growth, Baja Open House maintains a manageable portfolio of lsitings in which agents only take on a number of listings that can be professionally handled. Also, Baja Open House does not market to buyers a world of unfair opportunity to exploit sellers' position given the current market conditions as of the time of this writing.
In sum, Baja Open House only handles a small amount of buyers and sellers, and what remains of upmost importance is how the transaction is done.
