On the north end of the beach is a peninsula that jets out and not only makes for a more interesting and beautiful view, but also acts as a windbreak that allows the beach and ocean to be more wind protected.
You have direct access to the sandy beach. This sandy beach has no public parking so it is usually very quiet and one of the best places to be on busier weekends.
See whales when in season, see dolphins jumping, and watch surfing year-round. As you shop for your beach house in Baja, you’d be hard pressed to find any other as beautiful.

Puerta del Mar is located about 1 hour south of the San Diego border, or about 15 minutes south of Rosarito.
There are plenty of very nice ocean view restaurants in the area including the popular Splash, La Fonda and more.
There is a new supermarket in the Puerto Nuevo area, about 8 minutes north.
The Guadalupe Valley, the local wine region is about 35 minutes away and is a great destination.
Golf is at Bajamar has oceanfront fairways, and is about 12 minutes south.
